Friday morning of volunteering always beats sleeping in. But I loved capturing the candid awareness snapshots of the volunteers during the beach cleanup activity organized by Alstom company and Dubai Municipality hosted by Moustafa Embrahiem. 37,050 cigarette butts collected today morning with 62 participants from a company, friends, and families.
Trillion or more cigarette butts are generated each year throughout the world and cigarette butts are toxic, hazardous waste, especially to beaches.
The best solution to the cigarette butt waste problem is for smokers to be responsible, whether for reasons of their own health, the health of others, or the health of the environment. In brief…please throw it in a proper way.
